As a highly-polished, semi-professional a cappella choir, the chorale has gained an international reputation. The group has traveled world wide to destinations such as the Czech Republic, Austria, England, Scotland, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Argentina, Poland, and Greece.

In 1989, Dr Christie Nigro founded the group with the intent of creating a high-caliber a cappella ensemble for non-music majors. In that year, she auditioned a small group of singers with just such a vision. Since that time, the Chorale has become refined in their performance ability. Today, the Chorale is considered by many to one of the best choral ensembles in Worcester County.

In addition to their tours, the chorale also performs at banquets, weddings, concerts, and various inaugurations throughout Worcester and the New England area. We hope that you will continue to enjoy the beautiful music made by the Worcester State University Chorale.
